During home renovations I tore down a load bearing wall and installed an I-beam to replace it. I painted the I-beam black and left it exposed – it looks sharp with our modern interior design. I’ve now added the Firstlaw Fitness clamp and it is rock solid. I even added some felt pads so as to hold the metal part of the clamp off of the I-beam. That way if I move it it won’t leave marks where it used to be. I am using it to secure my TRX system and couldn’t be happier. This clamp looks sharp and is extremely well made. Even with the felt pads this thing has not budged a millimeter, but do be sure to clamp it down tight if you opt to use pads. If you are going to leave it in place or don’t care about leaving marks on the I-beam skip the felt pads. I highly recommend it!
